Ink Master: Angels season 2 renewal official; Ryan Ashley Malarkey, Kelly Doty, Nikki Simpson returning
One of the big differences for season 2, outside of losing Gia, is that you are going to see Ink Master: Angels season 2 on the Paramount Network. This is just a re-branded version of Spike, so there won’t be any substantial change for you as a viewer beyond the name.
In a statement confirming the news, Chachi Senior, the Senior Vice President of Alternative Programming and Development at the network, had the following to say:
“I am thrilled that the Angels are hitting the road again; Ryan, Kelly, and Nikki are a fierce combo and I look forward to another round of them going head to head against America’s best tattoo artists.”
We would imagine that in general, the plan for Ink Master: Angels will be to continue to use it as a means to bridge the gap between seasons of Ink Master proper, and we wouldn’t be altogether shocked to see the show used to bring in more contestants for another season of that show. It’s got a format that works well and it also is a nice extension of the overall brand. One of the cool things that we saw during the first season of Ink Master: Angels were some appearances from artists from other iterations of the show, even if they were just in cameo roles. It was a nice reminder that while Ink Master is the main competition, the people who take part in the show all do have their own lives and often, their own shops outside of that.
What do you think about the Ink Master: Angels season 2 renewal? Are you glad to see Ryan, Nikki, and and Kelly coming back? Be sure to share in the comments below right now!
