Gia Rose leaving Ink Master: Angels; will not return this season

Gia Rose leavingFor those of you who love Gia Rose on Ink Master: Angels and where she’s been as of late, know this: Her time on the Spike tattoo series seems to be done.

In new posts on Twitter and her Instagram, Rose confirmed that she has filmed her final episodes of the series — she was absent both in last week’s episode and tonight, and she was previously absent for a part of another episode. She mentions in her Instagram post that she is focusing on her health, and with that we absolutely wish her the best. She was a great artist the first time she appeared on Ink Master and was also great in her appearances here. She had a chance to take part in a couple of Angel Face-Offs while also serving as a judge in all of the other competitions.

Ryan Ashley Malarkey, Kelly Doty, and Nikki Simpson remain a part of Ink Master: Angels, and in the event there is a second season we hope to see all of them back for more appearances. There are still a few more episodes to go beyond the one tonight and we’ll have more information on those at a later date.

Spike ordered ten episodes of the first season, which is all about the Angels finding promising artists from all over the country. If an artist defeats an Angel, they get a spot on the next season of Ink Master. Not including the results of tonight’s episode three artists to date have found a way to make it onto the next season.
