Shrinking season 4 premiere date: A July 2026 update
Is there a chance that we are going to hear more regarding Shrinking season 4 between now and the end of July? What about more news on casting or something else tied to the hit comedy?
If there is one specific thing to note from the jump here, it is the rather simple fact that production is underway! Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, and the rest of the cast got back to work this past spring, and we imagine that for the next few months at least, they are going to do what they can to make the next chapter a hit once again. It is going to be a major reset-of-sorts for the entire story, one that could also include a time jump after so many people went their separate ways last season. It does appear as though the entire group will return, so we just have to wait and see exactly what that could end up looking like. How will Jimmy’s practice be going? Is he going to be tied to anyone romantically then?

The only thing that we can say with relative confidence is that Apple TV is not going to be bringing the show back at any point this year. As for the reason why, it is relatively simple: They have so much other programming at the moment! Why rush into something when they really do not need to? The better course of action for them is to simply just let Ted Lasso and potentially Bad Monkey air this year — they are two other shows from the Bill Lawrence umbrella and beyond just that, shows that have been done filming for a while.
From where things stand right now, winter or spring 2027 is the most-likely window for more Shrinking. We know that it is not being planned to be the final chapter, so there is a good chance for more down the line.
