Supernatural season 13 episode 9 to throw Sam, Dean into chaos
For much of this season, the goal for the Winchester brothers has been simple: Trying to bring Jack forward in his life with their version of positive reinforcement and training. They want to prove to him that he can be good and that his destiny / lineage does not define him. Unfortunately, what the two are finding out in the process is that this is not anywhere near as easy as they would’ve wanted. Despite Jack’s intentions at times, he doesn’t always live up to some of the expectations that are out there for him.
In the Supernatural season 13 episode 9 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below you can get a sense of just what Jack is willing to do to prove himself — unfortunately, in the process, things may not go according to plan:
JACK AND KAIA DISRUPT THE WORLD – Jack (Alexander Calvert), desperate to prove to Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) that he is good and that he can control his powers, enlists the help of a dreamcatcher named Kaia (guest star Yadira Guevara-Prip) to help him find Mary Winchester (guest star Samantha Smith) and save her from the alternate universe. However, when plans go awry, the Winchester brothers are the ones who need saving. Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Robert Berens (#1309). Original airdate 12/7/2017.
This episode may serve as the final one of the calendar year, and seeing Sam and Dean in serious jeopardy is a pretty common way for the show to end things off before a hiatus. What we should be left wondering is really quite simple: What is going to be coming up on the other side of this? How are the Winchesters going to move forward, and who is going to save them this time? So many of their friends are now dead, and there is no mention of Castiel in this synopsis. There’s still so much time between now and when this episode airs that there is no telling where that character is going to be.
