MacGyver season 2 episode 9 return date: The Billy Baldwin arc continues
The primary reason for the one-week hiatus here is rather simple: Black Friday. There is virtually zero reason in the world for the CBS series to broadcast a new episode of one of its best shows while most people are asleep from being up buying gifts at five in the morning. This is the first hiatus of the season, so it’s really not so bad. There are worse things in the world than taking a quick break to recharge — or go and watch old episodes of the show / watch them for the first time if you’re behind. (Did you see the casino episode? That’s a personal favorite of ours.)
The MacGyver season 2 episode 9 synopsis CarterMatt has for you below does offer up a little more insight on what’s next. Based on what we’ve got here, this is meant to directly continue some of the arcs that we’ve had a chance to see tonight:
“CD-ROM + Hoagie Foil” – Mac and the team follow a group of Indonesian mercenaries who are transporting a lethal amount of stolen nerve gas in the hopes of tracking them to their dangerous leader. Also, Jack confronts Elwood (Billy Baldwin) about Riley, and Bozer is pushed to his limit in spy school, on MACGYVER, Friday, Dec. 1 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
If you read our recent interview with Meredith Eaton, one of the things that you probably know already is that the Bozer arc was meant to last more than an episode — and should allow her the chance to do a wide array of different stuff. Beyond that, this episode is going to also give you more of Billy Baldwin, which excites us given that he’s a great actor. The more notable names you can get on the show, the better off it is. (Remember that Bruce McGill, otherwise known as the original Jack Dalton, is also coming up later this season.) The mission itself remains interesting, but given that it’s not a part of a story arc it’s harder to predict what’s coming in advance.
