Quick Hits: Star Trek: Discovery episode 10 news; You’re the Worst renewed; Terry Crews on ‘GMA’
The upcoming episode of the show isn’t airing until the new year (the CBS All Access series is now on a bit of a holiday hiatus), but there is still nonetheless a new synopsis out there as to what’s coming up. Take a look below via SpoilerTV:
While in unfamiliar territory, the U.S.S. Discovery crew is forced to get creative in their next efforts to survive opposing and unprecedented forces and return home.
If you do want to see a quick promo for what’s coming up, you can also take a look at that below — hopefully these two things in tandem will make the very-long wait for new episodes a little bit easier.
As for some other news of the day…
You’re the Worst renewed – This is great news for the excellent FXX comedy, but the bad news is that the upcoming fifth season is going to be the last one for the show. Nick Grad and Eric Schrier, Presidents of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions, announced the news today, with Grad having the following to say:
“Stephen Falk has been an extraordinary creative partner to work with over the past four years, and it is in that spirit that we came to the mutual decision to end You’re the Worst with its fifth season … Stephen’s singular vision for the series has been its guiding force from the start and our decision, while difficult, will allow the series to end on its own terms and in a way most satisfying to its devoted fans. We want to thank Stephen, the cast and the crew for everything they’ve done to make You’re the Worst one of the best comedies on TV.”
It was Falk (along with FX Productions) who decided to make the fifth season the show’s last; hopefully, there are going to be plenty of opportunities in order for this show to walk off into the sunset in a rather graceful manner.
Terry Crews speaks out – Weeks after first announcing that he was a victim of sexual assault while at a Hollywood function, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star both named the assaulter and spoke out about the incident at length on Good Morning America. This is a powerful, emotional interview that should remind everyone that assault can happen to anyone and the aftereffects of it are equally traumatic. Mass applause to Terry for being brave enough to share his story in such a public venue.
