The Flash season 4 episode 2 preview: Barry & Iris’ couples’ therapy

Flash season 4 episode 2

When The Flash season 4 episode 2 airs on The CW next week, the great news is that Barry and Iris are going to still be together! So, what’s the bad news? It may not actually be that bad at all: They have some issues that they need to work through.

We know that there are some people out there who may look at the idea of counseling as a bad thing, but we don’t actually perceive it in such a way at all. This is actually a welcome sign for the two characters given that it means that they are talking and trying to work through issues. Barry was away for a long time, and as a result of that, there are probably going to be a number of different things that need to be worked on. Even beyond all of this there is something else to consider here: The idea that doesn the road, having these discussions could make the characters far stronger than they ever were before.

If you do want to get some additional news right now regarding what’s coming up, take a look at the attached synopsis below.

The Flash season 4 episode 2 synopsis – Barry (Grant Gustin) has his hands full when he takes on a dangerous meta (guest star Dominic Burgess) who can control technology, while also confronting an obstacle in his personal life: the ramifications of abandoning Iris (Candice Patton) for six months to balance the Speed Force. Meanwhile, Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) breaches in for a hot date with Cisco (Carlos Valdes), but she gets annoyed when his work keeps them apart. Alexandra La Roche directed the episode written by Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza (#402). Original airdate 10/17/2017.

As you can tell Barry and Iris are actually not the only pair who probably needs to spend some time talking through some of their problems — for Cisco and Gypsy, it’s largely the same thing. They each need to realize that they are people with proprieties, but they need to learn when it’s okay to put some of those said priorities aside for the sake of the other person. For example, Cisco really needs to remember that Gypsy is traveling from another world in order to spend time with him. We’re not necessarily trying to beat up on the guy, but this more often than not is a sure-fire sign that someone wants to be with you and they’re going the extra mile in order to make that happen.

Given that this is early in the season, hopefully these characters work through some of their relationship drama. It will make them so much happier on the other side.
