Suits season 7 summer finale spoilers: Will Donna tell Harvey the truth?

What’s in a name? For the upcoming Suits season 7 summer finale airing on September 13, quite a bit. The title for this episode is “Donna,” and judging from some of the information we’ve got via USA, this could be a very significant hour for her as she makes some revelations about what she wants from herself, both now and in the future.

Beyond just that though, Donna’s impact stretches to other members of the team. She’s maintained unique bonds with Mike, Louis, Rachel, and of course Harvey that have been tested over time. The latter bond remains the one that most people are curious about, and of course we are very interested in seeing if anything more does come from it beyond what the relationship currently is.

For now, the information that CarterMatt has to share with you regarding this episode is fairly scare (but it’s not nothing!), and it comes in the form of the official synopsis below.

Suits season 7 summer finale synopsis – “Mike and Harvey’s power move is countered, putting their backs up against the ropes. Rachel fears her father’s judgment is clouded by the past. Louis aids Alex when his client comes under fire.”

For an episode entitled “Donna,” it is a little bit unusual that there isn’t a whole lot of information in the synopsis on the actual character. We think in this case that the title says a lot more than anything when it comes to telegraphing the story here. As for what is mentioned in the synopsis, seeing Mike and Harvey with their backs against the wall is nothing new. Seeing a big story for Rachel and Robert Zane, however, is not something that you get every season. Robert is such a notoriously powerful figure that there would be something interesting that comes out of seeing him have to rely a little more on his daughter for support. If the writers can effectively sell that story, it would be a memorable one.

Finally, bringing Louis and Alex back together is a nice callback to earlier this season when Louis was desperate to forge a friendship with him. They didn’t get off to the best start — Louis doesn’t really get off to the best start with anyone — but the more that the two get to know each other, the more Alex may understand that Louis has a big heart underneath all of the crazy.

About the promo tonight

Here, we got a sense that Donna may finally come clean to Harvey about how she feels, even though he’s in a relationship. It’s a moment that Darvey fans have been waiting for quite some time, and given the present circumstances with a key trial coming, it’s hard to know how it will end.
