Bachelor in Paradise 4: Chris Harrison on DeMario Jackson, Corinne Olympios interviews

Chris Harrison

It’s already been confirmed that DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios are going to discuss what happened on Bachelor in Paradise with Chris Harrison. However, what those discussions look like is something that remains to be seen. Previously, it appeared as though these conversations were to be taking place as a part of a sit-down during the reunion show; that may still be the case, but the talks could be more separate from the rest of the show than we thought previously — or, they may air on a different night altogether.

Speaking on the subject to Entertainment Tonight following the taping of The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All, Harrison explained some of what he thinks the interviews could look like; with that being said, there are also many questions that are floating around in the ether:

“We’re going to sit down with [Demario]. I don’t think it’ll be just part of the [BiP] reunion show. I’m going to sit down with DeMario and Corinne as part of a sit-down talk with the two of them.

“Honestly, after tonight I don’t know how that dialogue’s going to [go with DeMario] … I thought I had an idea before tonight, but I also thought we’d have a better moment than we had tonight. So, I don’t know. Now I’m not really sure how it’s going to be. We’ll see.”

There’s something really interesting about what Harrison says here: It’s not often that someone within Bachelor Nation openly dislikes something that happens with the show. Usually, they’ll try to hype it up instead as the best or the most dramatic thing ever, and that is not what is going on here. Clearly, DeMario must have done something in the Men Tell All taping that Harrison doesn’t like, whether it be not taking accountability for what happened on Rachel Lindsay’s season or pointing the finger at people other than himself. Typically, these shows love it when you get a chance to see people act contrite and within their parameters. That may not be what happens here, even if you would assume that would be what DeMario would do given that he came across so terribly with his “girlfriend” showing up during one of the group dates.

Are we sure that a sit-down between these two will get good ratings? Sure, but we honestly don’t think you’re going to get anything all that interesting out of it. If DeMario and Corinne just attack production, there’s no incentive for ABC to show it; meanwhile, they’ve already said in various forms that they don’t hold that much ill will towards each other. Think of this as your advance warning that this is going to be a letdown when it happens.
