The Flash season 4: Don’t expect Wally to replicate Barry
However, don’t take that as some sort of sign that Wally’s going to become a carbon copy of Barry and be The Flash in the same way he did when he’s gone. For Keiynan Lonsdale, the more important thing is being true to himself and true to this character and his journey. In talking about that further to Newsweek, he had the following to say:
“It’s not something that’s on my radar. I feel as though there is so much story to tell and Wally has so much growing to do. I’d like to see that journey continue. That’s what I think is important. We need to see how these character[s] realistically get to where they are headed for.”
Wally West is a character that fans of The Flash should want to stick around to do some of what he does best, which is be this energetic, exciting hero that inspires those around him. After all, he doesn’t need to do a whole lot more than that to win people over to his side. If they try to change him into Barry, that is the sort of thing that we foresee there being some trouble with. As a result of that, this is the sort of thing that we really do hope that they avoid with the show.
New episodes of The Flash will begin airing in October, but we imagine that there will be a whole lot news out before that. For example, it will be exciting to get some more information on the subject of who is being cast in the role of DeVoe. We also suspect that there could be some sort of teaser / trailer released prior to the start of the season, presumably at Comic-Con.
