The Fosters season 5 spoilers: Stef’s search, Jesus’ struggle in new promo

The Fosters season 5 has just released its latest new promo via Freeform, and this one hypes up something that you’d certainly expect to see: Drama.

For Stef, this drama is life-threatening to one of the other main characters on the show in Callie. At the end of season 4, she found herself in a terrible position where she could be abused, sexually assaulted, or even murdered after making the decision to run away from the problems that she already had. Callie has a long road ahead of her to ensure her safety; she may be resourceful, but she is only one person and she does have this tendency to try and carry the weight of the world on her shoulders.

Will Stef find her before anything else happens? Going into the premiere, this is one of the things that you should be shaking in your boots about.

As for what else is coming, be prepared for Jesus’ recovery to once again take center stage as it becomes increasingly clear that this could be a lifelong process trying to get him back to the way in once was. There’s no guarantee that he ever will, and some of his actions will continue to be both violent and unpredictable. While the other members of the Adams Foster family may love him and continue to support him, some of these actions do put them in a precarious position given that they do have to figure out a way to care for him that is supportive of his issues, but also still safe for all of them so that nothing else ends up transpiring.

If you watch The Fosters, you already know what you need to do in order to prepare properly for this premiere episode: Barricade yourself up somewhere before the premiere with a box of tissues and some snacks that will make you feel better. This is a show that rips you emotionally raw, but then often does find a way to build you back up. Despite all of the emotion and hardship, we do still think that there is a message of optimism and hope that is present at the center of it all.
