Longmire season 6 premiere date: A search for the ideal
The biggest assumption for the Netflix series is that it’s going to be premiering in September, given that this is when the past two seasons of the show premiered. One of the things that you always want to do when you are a streaming provider is figure out a way to get a consistent audience, and they have a reasonably good idea as to when to expect your show on the air. Is it a little bit different here in the context of this being the final season of Longmire? We imagine so, since there is not necessarily any sort of inherent need for Netflix to have to premiere the show at any specific time. We’re just assuming that they would still like to get the biggest ratings possible for the show, given that this is the thing that does probably make the most overall sense for them at the end of the day.
Now, in terms of looking towards specific times in which the show could premiere, our hope would be on Friday, September 15. That may be specific, but one of the great reasons behind the show potentially launching then is that it gives us and plenty of other viewers a chance to watch all of this play out before we roll around to the start of the TV season proper. This is something that Netflix did back for the fourth season of the show, and we do think that this proved rather effective in getting a lot of people to watch and enjoy the show on a pretty quick pace. Meanwhile, season 5 for the show started a little later in the month — while we still enjoyed it, no doubt that the schedule was a little bit more crammed.
Ultimately, we’re planning to have further news on whenever the Longmire premiere date is when it is announced. If we had to project it right now, our guess is that you will learn the date at some point in either July or August. Netflix doesn’t tend to announce things too far in advance.
