Arrow season 5 spoilers: The latest Adrian Chase tactic revealed
Remember when it was pretty clear that he wanted to be caught? Well, you gotta remember that this guy is ten steps ahead of everyone. That statement has become a little bit of a meme, but it’s true. He thinks in a way that few other characters do — he’s psychotic, but he’s also incredible smart and insanely motivated.
The reason why Chase wanted to be caught may be clear in the upcoming May 10 episode entitled “Honor Thy Fathers.” You’re going to have a chance to see what happens when dozens of criminals find themselves released from prison. Why? Just remember for a minute here that Adrian Chase put a lot of prisoners away, and now that it’s clear that he is the throwing-star killer, it’s hard to claim that these people were fairly prosecuted. This is bad news … very bad news. All of the people the Green Arrow put away this season may be back. (Does this explain why Cody Rhodes is coming back before the end of the season?)
Once again, Chase knew that this would happen, and all of a sudden he may have further allies in his mission to completely destroy Oliver’s life. Maybe he was never 100% certain that this was going to be a move that would happen, but he was prepared for it. That’s the point here more than anything else.
As for what else is coming in this episode, let’s just say that Oliver will have a “crate” delivered to his office … one that is going to contain a “mysterious corpse.” If that doesn’t sound creepy and/or terrifying, it’s hard to know what will. Plus, how does someone ship a corpse in concrete? That doesn’t seem like something that you are going to send in the ordinary post.
There are only two episodes coming on Arrow season 5 once we get to the other part of this installment. As the recent sizzle reel showed off, we’re going to get all sorts of great stuff coming. You will have a chance to see the return of not only Manu Bennett as Slade, but also Katie Cassidy as Black Siren and Katrina Law as Nyssa.
