Better Call Saul season 3 ratings down; Into the Badlands down

Better Call Saul season 3

If you’ve been interested in learning the latest Better Call Saul season 3 ratings, you’ve come to the right place! Unfortunately, we wish we could say that the live+same day numbers were moving in the direction that we wanted them to.

The latest episode of the AMC series starring Bob Odenkirk last night drew in total a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Not only is this a decline from the most recent episode of the show, but it is also the lowest-rated episode of the series to date. One of the things that we don’t quite understand is that the first season averaged more than a 1.5 rating, and we don’t exactly think that the quality here as dipped.

Unfortunately, we’re going to claim that the biggest reason for falling numbers here is the Netflix generation, who want to just sit down and watch everything at once. It’s a good thing that AMC has a good deal with the streaming service for the show, because we want to see it making money. Even though we may sound negative here, we’re still very much confident that a season 4 for Saul is coming. It feels like there’s almost a 0% chance that the network ends this show before connecting all of the dots.

As for some other AMC ratings, let’s take a moment to look instead at Into the Badlands. The latest episode of the martial-arts drama also ended up posting in total a 0.5 rating, which is also a drop from the show’s most-recent rating. It doesn’t have The Walking Dead as a lead-in anymore, and if this is the sort of performance that the network can expect from the show, this is something that the network is going to have to think about as we move further and further into the future.

There are still more episodes of both shows the rest of the way this season, so as a result of that, we’ll have to see where the two shows go from here.

What did you think about the ratings for these two shows? Are you confident in terms of renewals? Be sure to share below!
