Scandal season 6 episode 8 sneak peek: Abby gets an offer
As for what’s going on here, it’s ultimately rather simple: Abby sits down for what she thinks initially to be a meeting for President Grant and his potential Presidential Library. She prepared for it with that thinking in mind, and it’s only after the fact she learns that there is something much more sinister going on here. These people want to pay her that ridiculous sum of money for her services, whatever they may be. This stems back to a secret that was present on Election Night, and it in turn connects to what happened to Huck on this past episode.
Are we still confident that Huck survived? Sure. Maybe we’re delusional in our thinking on this, or maybe we just think that this is a show that isn’t going to write out Guillermo Diaz without some significant fanfare. he’s such a great actor that you don’t want to lose him on the show.
One way or another, we know that Abby’s off doing some shady stuff, and you have to wonder not only why, but what exactly she was expected to do in order to get that money. This is one of those episodes that should answer a ton of questions about everything we’ve seen so far this season, and set the foundation further for the final installments coming up. It may still be difficult to think about or to process, but we’re past the halfway point now in season 6. This is what happens when you’ve got a shorter season! The story’s going to move along at a fairly rapid pace, and we figure that’s going to continue until we’re all the way at the end. At least rest assured that there is a Scandal season 7 on the other side, so you’ve got something rather tangible and great to look forward to.
