Scandal season 6 episode 7: Did Huck kill Rowan? Is Huck dead?

Did Huck kill Rowan

Does Huck have a victim complex? Is he intent on helping people he perceives to be in need? This was a part of Thursday night’s new episode of Scandal, which was the latest character study for this haunted man.

First of all, let’s credit Guillermo Diaz further. We could watch a spin-off series about Huck every second of the day. He’s one of the show’s most-powerful characters, and a man who we wish that we saw more of even if he’s a part of every episode. (We especially feel that way based on the ending that we had to this episode.)

Let’s get back now to the question at the center of the article: Huck did not kill Rowan, despite an order from Olivia to do so. She felt he was the only person she trusted to the do the deed, but after several meetings with the man, he found himself in a precarious spot: He couldn’t bring himself to go through with it. His sentiment was that sometimes, people can change and Rowan had. He acted and he killed out of rage, but he loved Olivia. It was one of the few people he loved. Therefore, he insisted to Olivia that he was right, and that she was wrong. She didn’t want to listen.

However, when presented with the evidence by Huck, we quickly saw Olivia learn the truth. Not only that, but she and Huck eventually made it clear to Huck’s new love interest Meg that her friend Jennifer may actually still be alive out there. There was serious tension during the episode, and most of it stemmed from the fact that he tried to inject her after thinking that she’d been previously compromised. Huck may have acted like a monster, but as Olivia insisted, he wasn’t. He changed.

Well, here’s where things get terrible. This said woman, the person Huck loved and wanted to protect, killed him. Meg was a bad, bad person — more so than that, she was working for Abby, who may have been a traitor this entire time. She killed Jennifer, and then … killed Huck? Is Huck really dead? If so, this is the most heartbreaking end for the character out there. Rowan gets to live, and Huck is gone … seemingly. There’s no guarantee just yet, and we didn’t see him stop breathing.

As for his undoing, it goes back to what we said earlier. Huck has a victim complex. He wanted to think Meg needed him, when really she just needed to kill him.

If Huck is dead, this has to be one of the most stunning moments of the entire series. Not only that, but it also makes Abby the biggest traitor at the same time.
