Chicago Justice episode 3 preview: A Chicago Fire crossover; special time
The next installment is entitled “See Something,” and it’s going to be airing on Tuesday night in the place of Chicago Fire, which is in repeats for the next several weeks. As a way to help with the show’s absence, you are going to see a small crossover take place here with David Eigenberg (Herrmann) making a guest-starring appearance in the episode. To go along with that, you’re also going to get a chance to see Jason Beghe stop by as Hank Voight. Here are some of the details in terms of what is coming up.
Synopsis – “When a Muslim grad student is brutally murdered, Stone (Philip Winchester) and the team arrest his friend, another Muslim student, who claims he committed murder to prevent a terrorist attack. The jury must decide whether he’s a killer or a hero.”
Basically, is murder for the greater good better than letting a potential murderer go? This is a question that is certainly out there on some series that are a bit more extreme in nature, whether it be on Dexter or back on the first season of Arrow. Heck, this was a huge part of the movie / TV show Minority Report as you saw people being arrested for crimes prior to them being committed. Of course, the difference there was that in theory, there wasn’t an attempt to kill people out to commit crimes in the future.
In the end, this is the sort of stuff we want to see Chicago Justice dive into just because it is something more morally ambiguous. The more that you raise these sort of questions, the more you put yourself in a situation where you can’t read what a jury will do. That adds to the unpredictability and the flavor of the story.
