Criminal Minds season 12, episode 16 return date: More Matthew Gray Gubler drama
What is the Criminal Minds season 12, episode 16 return date? We’ve got that answer for you (March 15), and also a few more details regarding what is going to be coming up.
The biggest thing that we can say about “Assistance is Futile” is that more than likely, this is not a reference to the Borg from Star Trek — though it’s at least close. Other than that, we’ve got a notable guest star in Tatum O’Neal, and then also more of the Spencer Reid crisis that’s been blowing through this season like an angry tornado.
Synopsis – “A mother steps forward with valuable information for the BAU to aid in their investigation of an unsub known as the bone crusher. Also, Reid must adapt to a new set of rules in prison life, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, March 15 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Tatum O’Neal guest stars as Miranda White, the mother who comes forward.”
The big takeaway from reading this more so than anything else is that despite however badly we may want to see Spencer be okay, the reality is that it’s not going to be easy. This is a long journey for him to get better, and it’s going to get worse. We saw this referenced on the show tonight, and it’s that nobody within the walls of that prison is going to go easy on him. He’s a fed! That just puts an enormous target on his back and it’ll make almost everyone eager to take him down a peg.
As for the UnSub of the week storyline, it’s fascinating, but in true Criminal Minds fashion, it’s awful hard to say anything further about it at the moment given that there is such limited information out there beyond this.
