Is ‘Scandal’ season 6, episode 5 new tonight on ABC?
We do come bearing an answer within this article, but it may not be one you want to hear: Alas, it’s not happening. As a matter of fact, you may be left waiting until Thursday, March 9 in order to see what’s coming up next. “How to Get Away with Murder” tonight is taking the place of “Scandal” in the schedule, so Kerry Washington and company are taking a breather. The biggest regret for many out there is that this move is happening just a mere matter of four episodes into a season. A hiatus feels a little more palatable when it’s not so early into the run of the show.
If it does help to make the waiting a little bit easier, take a look at some further information of what lies ahead. This comes courtesy of ABC:
“Jake and Vanessa’s messy relationship poses a threat to the campaign, forcing Olivia to take action. Meanwhile, a game-changing revelation about the conspiracy surrounding Francisco Vargas’s assassination is revealed.”
What’s worth watching out for
The biggest reason to be excited for this episode to air is the opportunity to see the dynamic between Jake, Vanessa, and Olivia, which is sure to be explosive at this point. Through the first four episodes, Jake Ballard was a little more on the back-burner when it comes to the story. That is going to change, and it makes sense. Did you really expect ABC to keep quiet on the details when it comes to this story forever? That is a little unrealistic a proposition.
As for the key intel regarding the Vargas assassination, it will still be a surprise if all of the information is handed down. Just remember that this is a show with many episodes still to come. Therefore, there’s plenty of time to resolve everything you could possibly want to see.
