‘Major Crimes’ season 5, episode 15 preview: Hacking the case in ‘Cleared History’
Tonight, “Major Crimes” premiered its first episode in many months, and with that, thankfully got one important piece of information out of the way: Andy Flynn was okay! We don’t have to worry about the character’s future anymore, which means that we can get back to focusing about some of the specific cases once more.
This excites us greatly, as does getting to share some of the first bit of information regarding “Cleared History,” which is the next new installment of the show. This is a story that is going to feature a victim who, on the surface, may appear relatively innocent. However, the more the team does some digging, the more that they may realize that this is not exactly the case at all.
Synopsis – “When Major Crimes discovers a young one-man-geek-squad in the middle of his Atwater living room with his throat cut, suspicions swirl around his roommate and some unwitting customers, all of whom he was blackmailing.”
On paper, the idea of this episode is incredibly interesting just because we like the cases that fall into “not what they seem” territory. You think that there is already one read that we have on the case, but then things change and there is a twist or two that you don’t seen coming. Part of the intrigue that we’ve got about this episode is that we have a sinking feeling that this case is far more complicated than it even appears to be based on the information that we have.
Aside from this, we do think that the story of Taylor’s replacement will be one of the key components aside from what we’re going to see when it comes to the case itself. Meanwhile, we can’t imagine that Andy Flynn is complete settled in and back to normal just yet after what he went through. Those experiences shape people.
