‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: Patrick Fischler returning as Isaac
As we get set for some further episodes of “Once Upon a Time” to air on ABC starting on March 5, we come bearing some great news for those of you who loved the most-recent incarnation of the Author on the show!
In a post on Twitter, co-creator Adam Horowitz confirmed that Patrick Fischler is going to be returning as Isaac for at least one upcoming episode. As for what role he plays in the story now, that remains to be seen — with the same thing going for many returning characters to the show right now. After all, we’ve also heard that Rose McIver will be coming back as Tinker Bell, and Tiger Lily is one of the many new additions coming into the world this season.
What we hope that we are going to see on the show moving forward is a story that gives Henry a few more challenges, twists, and turns as the new Author. The entire twist is so interesting, largely because you are giving someone within the show an opportunity to play God to a certain extent with the surrounding world. Yet, there are some more rules and complications that go along with that, and that is one of the many reasons why we’ve seen Henry show a little bit of hesitancy when it comes to using his powers as an Author. For such a young guy, he’s shown a great deal of responsibility and awareness.
Could Isaac have some sort of role in the endgame of this season? We’re mostly interested in this period of time just because there is such a great of ambiguity surrounding the finale this time around, especially since there is no guarantee at the moment that we are going to get a season 7 of the show. We remain hopeful, but at the same time there are no guarantees. If it happens, it happens, and we’ll celebrate every single story that we get.
