‘Undercover Boss’ videos: Build-a-Bear Workshop and Gary, Indiana
Given that there is not an abundance of new programming airing tonight on CBS, might we recommend having a little bit of fun watching “Undercover Boss“? Even though this is not a show that tends to generate enormous numbers for network, at the same exact time it does remain a solid contributor whenever it airs.
Tonight, what you’re going to see are two very different organizations front and center of over the course of the hour, and let’s start with Build-a-Bear Workshop. If you’ve been in any shopping mall in the country, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen one of these stores. The idea behind them is cute and fundamentally sound: Offering up a chance for kids to create their own stuffed animal from a variety of different templates. They also create an environment that further facilitates some of the fun. The idea here seems to be giving you a better sense of everything that goes on within this operation, which is so much more than the workshop that you tend to see when you go into one of the stores.
Meanwhile, the second business is much more government-based than anything, as the Mayor of Gary, Indiana (of course, this still makes us think of “The Music Man”) goes undercover in order to better understand the inner workings of their city. This means talking with a variety of employees and, in the sneak peek below, better understanding everything that members of the police force have to do in order to protect and serve to the best of their ability.
While these episodes may not be holiday-themed, we do still think that they could serve as a nice little diversion over the night for people just looking for a little escapism, or at the very least something to have on TV while they finish up wrapping gifts.
