‘The X Factor’ UK: The truth about Honey G’s ‘record deal’

X factor -

How much of a record deal does Honey G really have following her time on “The X Factor“? It is a question that many people out there are likely wondering, and it is a question that we’re rather thrilled to explain a little bit further?

The truth is that the controversial rapper does in fact seem to have a deal with Syco, but that does not guarantee that she will be working with Simon Cowell on a full album in the slightest. Rather, The Sun reports that the deal, should it go through properly, be of the single-by-single variety. What this means effectively is that rather than getting a full album, she’ll have a chance to release a single, and then the company will determine her future based more on that. It’s a chance to prove herself, and it’s also not such a heavy commitment that Syco has to keep her around in the event she doesn’t work.

Regardless of whatever Honey G may think of herself as an artist, the reality here is more that she appeals to the novelty crowd who are looking for something that is simply fun and not necessarily something to be taken altogether seriously. Think of her as almost an LMFAO without the rich musical backstory. If her songs are extremely catchy, there is a really good chance that we’ll end up seeing her have some success. If they are self-aggrandizing and offer up almost no further purpose, odds are that she’ll continue to fade out rather quickly. It really is Honey G time right now, as in this is the time to see whether or not she really makes it as someone successful in the industry.

If nothing else, she does apparently have Louis Walsh offering to manage her, which makes some sense given that he’s been in the business of working with acts like Jedward in the past.

We’ll offer up some other updates when it comes to Honey G and “The X Factor” in due time; for now, head over here to get some other news regarding the show! (Photo: ITV.)
