NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Looking at the latest Adam Levine – Blake Shelton rumor
It really does not seem to matter what season of “The Voice” you are talking about these days; there are almost always rumors regarding whether or not Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are going to leave the show.
This time around, the latest gossip is coming to you courtesy of Radar Online, who claims that Miley Cyrus is apparently the impetus behind the scenes of a conflict between her and Adam, and that he is considering leaving the show after season 12 (airing this spring) as a result of this and other things — including that it could just be time for them to go.
Now, how true is this? We should say that given we’re not behind the scenes of the show, it’s hard to say — but simultaneously, it is also rather difficult to put a significant amount of stock in something that is coming from an unnamed source, talking about matters that could be coming up for season 13. That’s still so far away! (Adam and Blake are for certain going to be back on the show next season with Alicia Keys and Gwen Stefani.) Also, the report incorrectly notes that Gwen was on the show last season when it was actually Christina Aguilera, so add that in there when you are formulating your judgment.
Given the benefits of staying on this show in terms of financial gain and also exposure, it is difficult to imagine someone wanting to leave just because they didn’t get along with a co-worker, in the event that this rumor is true. For now, we’re putting this firmly in the “take it with a grain of salt” category because there’s not enough tangible evidence out there that leaving is something that is even on the radar of Adam or Blake moving into the near future.
