‘Teen Wolf’ season 6, episode 4 video: Will Lydia’s instincts lead her to Stiles?

How will the cast of “Teen Wolf” find Stiles and save him from his purgatory? It’s one of the most interesting questions entering the fourth episode of the season Tuesday night, and instincts, as referenced in the title, are more than likely going to be coming into play. These are instincts that first led the likes of Scott and Lydia to realize that something was amiss with Stiles out of their lives, and it is reflected further in this sneak peek.

Do you know the game of “you’re getting warmer, warmer, now you’re getting hot!” that so many people like to play while watching someone else hunt for something? It also feels like this sneak peek is a perfect reflection of that, watching Lydia search for something that is, as she is told, right in front of her eyes — and on the other side of the wallpaper. This could be the clue to solving the riddle, but before she uncovers the truth, Claudia interrupts her.

The temptation is easy to blame Claudia for being shifty, shady, or disrupting what is going on here in that way. It’s also possible that she is just concerned and not altogether nefarious at all. Seemingly, she was brought into the world solely for the purpose of filling that void left by Stiles — and it’s ironic to use “void” and “Stiles” in the same sentence. For a character like her in her position, what Holland Roden’s character is trying to do is something that would not make a particularly great deal of sense.

Will Lydia be the one to ultimately find Stiles? It’s a question that is worth pondering, and it’s one that could have a wide assortment of different answers. The case to be made for her doing it stems from their emotional connection, and the desire that many who ‘ship the two of them may have to see them share this sort of moment. For Scott McCall, the answer is that he’s always been there as a friend, and having him do that could be a chance for them to celebrate a friendship that was there in the early days.
