Here’s one ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 theory that is (thankfully) false

LogoWe tend to avoid (for the most part) posting or discussing set reports or too much off-season “Game of Thrones” speculation, largely because we’re well aware of how much of it can be proved false and also because interrupting production in any way is never a good thing. Luckily, we don’t think this story falls into either category.

Also, it’s something that the majority of people will find to be a relief, given that there are plenty of other things when it comes to this show to pretend-stress over.

Per a new report from Watchers on the Wall, the show is not planning to make the character of Sansa Stark pregnant with Ramsay Bolton’s child. This is a subject that first came up based on the course of events in the sixth season, and also probably because as “Game of Thrones” fans, we’ve really just come to assume the worst about many of the stories involving the Stark family because they do often tend to go down a dark path. Ramsay did tell her that there would always be a part of him with her, which is more than likely where a lot of this gossip first ended up stemming from.

This report corroborates what actor Liam Cunningham (Davos) told The Huffington Post earlier this year, suggesting that there was simply no way Ramsay would know whether or not Sansa was expecting his child:

“Unless he’s got one of those Game of Thrones pregnancy sticks, he’s not gonna know … I would imagine it’s open to whatever you want it to be, but I think he’s saying he’s put himself into her head. That’s what I took from it. She’s never gonna get rid of him because of what he’s done to her. He knows what he’s done to her. It was off camera, what he was doing to her, but we all know what it was. But I think he’s placed himself in her soul for all the wrong reasons.”

So for now, you can take a deep breath, but you’re probably also going to need to remember that this is “Game of Thrones,” and more than likely there’s going to be something else terrible that happens to someone. Here’s to hoping that this said “someone” is not Sansa – she’s been through enough.
