‘This Is Us’ episode 8 preview: Preparing for Thanksgiving
The first season of “This Is Us” has an affinity for bringing us a wide array of different milestones, and on Tuesday night’s new episode, we’re going to see in particular what is a particularly notable Thanksgiving from the past. Jack and Rebecca’s children are still young, but old enough to understand precisely what it is that they are going through.
In the sneak peek below via Entertainment Weekly, you can see specifically what the two parents are doing leading up to paying Rebecca’s parents a visit for the annual Thanksgiving family bash. Rebecca wants to be there to in part deliver the best Turkey Day experience possible, but at the same exact time also feels a significant amount of pressure from the remainder of her family in order to get just about every little element of this right. That’s why she is spending so much time in the kitchen!
Meanwhile, Kevin and Randall make it abundantly clear of just how unhappy the two of them are to be going through this Thanksgiving experience together. They don’t want to travel, and by the end of this previews, their actions lead to a mishap — one that could easily upset their parents.
Unfortunately for Jack and Rebecca, we know that this is just scratching the surface of what some of their problems are going to be while making this trip. Let’s just say that at one point along the way, these two are going to find themselves in a situation where they’re left without an easy form of transportation, and this is an era where you couldn’t just pick up your cell phone and use it in order to dial someone up. This could prove problematic for a long stretch of time.
