‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 8, episode 8 video: The great scooter chase
Sure, we’ve seen countless chase scenes on “NCIS: Los Angeles” and several other corners of the franchise over the years, but how many of them involve scooters? The answer there is “not many,” and that’s what makes the latest sneak peek below all the more interesting.
In this preview, Deeks is forced to commandeer someone’s bike in order to pursue someone leaving the scene on a Vespa. To be fair, Deeks tried to have a civil conversation with this person before they took off on the scooter, and that was enough to make Eric Christian Olsen’s character realize that there was only one way that he was going to be able to handle this person. He chases him in what is a very atypical environments, and there are a few rather unusual stunts for this show that we get to see in here.
Ironically, it’s the somewhat-slower pace that makes this particular preview all the more effective. Think of it in these terms: We’ve come over the years to start to get accustomed to seeing car chases, mostly because they’re so frequently-spotted that they no longer hold the same sort of level of excitement. Seeing something that is unique, even if it’s a little more small-scale, will be memorable for some time. We’ll probably have a better recollection of this than almost anything else we see on the show for a rather long stretch of time.
Bonus sneak peek – The second clip below gives you a little bit of a sense as to a case Sam and Callen have going on, one that will put a child genius in a rather key position.
