‘Big Brother OTT’ spoilers: Julie Chen reveals election results; Shelby, Jason to compete for HoH again
There are a couple of key stories that unfolded this afternoon in the “Big Brother: Over the Top” house, and they couldn’t be more different from each other. One of them was a huge breaking story from the real world, while the other put a pin on a really controversial past day or so in the house.
First and foremost, let’s talk about the game. Chen confirmed further that we first heard about earlier: Shelby and Jason are going to compete later tonight to be the new Head of Household. The two parties were both in contention last night until a malfunction during Shelby’s attempt at the challenge hindered her ability to compete. While we think that she wasn’t going to be beat Jason’s time, we don’t think that this is the worst thing in the world. We actually wish the show would do this more than they do, given that there have been some controversial competitions over the years.
Also, you can’t be too upset if you’re a Misfit fan — there’ll still be a chance to nominate Morgan via America’s vote later in the week, and if you really want Shelby out, she won’t be eligible to win the next HoH if she ends up winning this one.
Now, let’s turn to the other news: Julie telling the players that Donald Trump is now the President-Elect. Let’s just say that they were about as shocked, if not more so, than many people on the outside world. Shelby, Jason, and Justin were in particular very upset; specifically, Jason asked if they could continue to live in the house for the next four years.
