‘Supernatural’ season 12: Jensen Ackles teases more familiar faces
There are quite a few great things about “Supernatural” as a series, but one of the best ones is that you are dealing with a show that has one of the best rotating groups of guest stars that you’re going to see on just about any show. In between Kim Rhodes, Mark Pellegrino, Rob Benedict, Jim Beaver, and many more, you’ve got a lot of interesting people out there connected to this world. While not all of them can be a part of every episode or even every other one, we do appreciate the sporadic occasions in which they appear.
For now, we don’t have any official word that these particular guest stars are appearing later this season, but we can tell you that the CW series is starting to think ahead. While at EW PopFest this weekend, star Jensen Ackles made it clear (per Entertainment Weekly) there there are some plans in place to bring a few people back:
“When you have a really good character, and not just that but a really good talented person playing that character, getting them to come back is always a treat for us, and I feel like it’s a nice little treat for you guys, as well. I will say there are plans this season to bring back a few of those, so stay tuned.”
The best thing about this show especially is that these guest characters don’t even have to be alive in order to turn back up. We’ve seen Bobby turn up on a few occasions since his departure, and we would certainly be interested in another appearance eventually from Felicity Day as Charlie.
