‘The Walking Dead’ season 7: Steven Yeun’s got a new job on ‘Conan’
For most fans of “The Walking Dead” at present, they’re likely still feeling sad, angry, or a combination of the two over what happened on the season premiere this past weekend. We certainly understand why they would be, given that you lost two of the more popular characters on the show in Glenn and Abraham.
Luckily, there’s some good news on the Steven Yeun front: He’s got a new job! Well … sort of.
In the video below from Thursday night’s new episode of “Conan,” you can see the actor talking with Conan O’Brien about the new gig he’s got as a stand-in for some of Conan’s rehearsals. This is a pretty funny video that does lighten the mood a little bit, but we think it serves another function on a meta level: It reminds everyone how great Yeun is at comedy. We know that he could do almost anything he wants moving forward, but we’d personally love to see him take on a big part in a comedy series just for the sake of mixing it up. We also think that his name alone would bring in a good many viewers.
One other thing that’s great about this video? You’ve got a small cameo from Michael Cudlitz thrown in there, as well. He, like Steven, is no longer a part of “The Walking Dead,” but we do figure that he will be remembered for quite some time. Seeing these two on “Conan” so soon after the premiere seems about right, mostly because he has remained a pretty big supporter of the show in one way or another over the years.
