‘Big Brother 18’ finale: Paulie Calafiore on jury house drama, Nicole’s win (CBS backyard interview)
To say that Paulie Calafiore was a polarizing figure is an understatement. The guy was considered by most of the players on “Big Brother” to be a villain, he had a huge confrontation with Da’Vonne, and he could be in for surprises after the fact when he comes out into the real world.
For tonight, though, we’ve got some interview highlights from the guy below from his chat with Big Jeff on CBS All Access.
On the finale – “This was one of the craziest finales I’ve seen in Big Brother history. It was one of the closest ones ever. I worked with both of those players, and I was able to see their games from the inside and out … Paul’s gotta bring the floater to the finale if he wanted to win.”
On perceptions of a “bitter” jury – “I guess Corey and I were good talkers at the roundtable … I felt that at the jury house there was a lot of emotion, and I feel like I brought a third-party perspective.”
On the jury house fights – “Those girls were trashing Zakiyah in the house. They were bringing her down and were very mean to her, just because she wanted to get to know me … The girls weren’t shutting the game down, so I wanted to stand up for her.”
Paulie danced around whether or not he should have used the Veto on Zakiyah in retrospect, so take that however you want to. He was asked a few questions, but for the most part the answers were frustrating much like a good percentage of his game.
As for the end result tonight, the general consensus of the night is that Paul = Cody when it comes to end-of-the-game decisions. We like Paul a lot, but credit goes to Nicole for making Paul feel like she wasn’t going to get votes.
