‘Mr. Robot’ season 2, episode 9 video: Is Elliot heading home?

We’re now in the home stretch for “Mr. Robot” season 2, and with that, we do think that there is a case to be made that the show waiting perhaps a little too long to set the table of Elliot Alderson’s circumstances. We only learned two weeks ago that he has been in prison this whole time, and we’re now starting to get slightly accustomed once more to what his life could be like on the outside.

Ultimately, this brings us to the promo below, which gives you a slight sense of what is going on with Elliot now in the wake of Darlene’s actions — and revelations — at the end of this past episode. There could be a few more twists and turns that are coming, and all we hope is that they will give us a further sense as to where certain pieces lie. That’s the difficult thing with this season structurally so far: We don’t know entirely what is truth, and what is fiction. We’re just having to take every little thing could matter once you start to put the pieces together.

If there’s one other tease for this episode that we can offer up at present, it’s this: Angela is going to be pushing E Corp hard for more; will they push back? She’s found some of her confidence this season, but affirmations only mean so much when faced against actions.
