‘Ballers’ season 2 spoilers: Check out more details on upcoming episodes!

Ballers -There are several new episodes of “Ballers” season 2 running through the month of August, and as we get further and further in, one thing feels thoroughly clear: We’re only going to see an expansion of conflict between Spencer Strasmore (Dwayne Johnson) and his rival Andre (Andy Garcia). These guys are both titans in their own ways, but while Spencer was a force on the football field, Andre has been killing it in the business world for decades. In going up against him, he’s going to have his work cut out for him and could have to get super-resourceful to find weaknesses.

Take a look at some episode synopses below, knowing in the process that there are minor spoilers ahead. (These were officially released by HBO.)

Episode 2×04, “World of Hurt” (August 7) – “Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) and Joe (Rob Corddry) search for Andre’s (Andy Garcia) weakness, while Vernon (Donovan Carter) anxiously awaits news. Jason (Troy Garity) faces an uphill battle as he woos a client. Ricky (John David Washington) tries to understand his dad. Charles (Omar Benson Miller) gets the real deal from Siefert (Dulé Hill).”

Episode 2×05, “Most Guys” (August 14) – ” Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) tries to mentor Travis (Adam Aalderks) while dodging unwelcome medical news and the ghosts of his financial past. Attempting to cheer up Vernon (Donovan Carter), Reggie (London Brown) and Joe (Rob Corddry) buy a wild gift. Ricky (John David Washington) encourages Charles (Omar Benson Miller) to stand up for himself; later, he gets advice on a big career decision after running into a face from the past.”

Episode 2×06, “Saturdaze” (August 21) – “Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) attempts to broker peace between Travis (Adam Aalderks) and a critic. Struggling to adjust to his new role on the team, Charles (Omar Benson Miller) is tasked with delivering bad news. Joe (Rob Corddry) encounters Andre (Andy Garcia) one-on-one. Still torn about his future, Ricky (John David Washington) is thrown for a loop when Dennis (Robert Ray Wisdom) decides to have more of a voice in his life.”

Episode 2×07, “Everybody Knows” (August 28) – “Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) scrambles to stay ahead after Andre (Andy Garcia) makes a surprise visit to the office. Joe (Rob Corddry) discovers the skeletons in his partner’s closet. Ricky (John David Washington) tries to make amends with Dennis (Robert Ray Wisdom), as Charles (Omar Benson Miller) plots to keep Ricky in Miami. Travis (Adam Aalderks) confides in Spencer during a talk-show appearance.”

Obviously, there’s clearly a lot of different stuff going on here, and it’ll involve both characters old and new. We just hope that the comedy remains strong through here every step of the way.
