‘Quantico’ season 2 teaser hypes up Alex’s new mission

The second season of “Quantico” may be a ways away from its ABC premiere, but the network is already giving you a mighty good reason to be excited. How else do you describe the promo below?

In this preview, you can see none other than some season 1 highlights, quotes from critics, and then a very specific tease about the Central Intelligence Agency. It’s ironic that the show still bears the name of the famed FBI training academy, and yet the CIA is becoming more and more of a focus as we push further into the second season.

As for what the story is going to be this season, beyond Alex’s new title it is still hard to pin down. We can note that Blair Underwood is one of the more noteworthy additions to the cast, and that production is moving to New York. There should be some exciting opportunities that come with that from a storytelling perspective.

If there is one thing we’d change about the show, it’d be keeping it in a singular timeframe since we don’t think all the jumping around really does the story any good. As a matter of fact, it makes things complicated when it really doesn’t need to be, since the stories can be fantastic enough on their own. Alas, we don’t think that is happening, but we’ll give the show a little bit of the benefit of the doubt and see what happens when it does premiere.
