‘The View’ will retain Whoopi Goldberg for at least one more year
While the future of every single person associated with “The View” is not entirely clear at the moment, we can at least say one thing when it comes to Whoopi Goldberg: You will be seeing more of her in the future.
In a post on Twitter, one of the show’s longest-running panelists made it clear that she would return for at least one more year:
“Ok now it’s official, I have re-upped for 1 year returning to ‘The View’ [for] the 2016-2017 season … Will continue [to] annoy some, delight others.”
For “The View,” this has to be considered great news given that one of their biggest issues at present is an utter lack of stability in the ranks. We have seen more turnovers on this show than in a bakery the past few years, and even this time around, the show is losing Michelle Collins after a brief stint. (That one particularly upsets us, since she did make an effort to try and bring some humor to the table.)
As of right now the status of many of the show’s other panelists, including Joy Behar, Paula Faris, and Candace Cameron Bure, is not entirely clear. We expect them to sign back up, mostly because it’d be really putting the show into a pickle if they decided to back up now so close to when planning for the next season should start to take place.
Rest assured that we’ll have some further news on the subject of “The View” when it breaks.
