‘Mr. Robot’ season 2 spoilers: Elliot versus Elliot

Through much of the second season of “Mr. Robot,” there is going to be an awareness for Elliot Anderson that was not there through much of season 1. He was more detached from the world, and also more unaware as to the existence of Mr. Robot and why he was speaking to him.

While we’re not entirely sure you can say that Rami Malek’s character is better on the upcoming second season premiering July 13 on USA, he does at least understand better that he is dealing with some serious issues that are hard for him to reconcile. One of these will be the existence of his father in his everyday life. This will be one of the storylines in the upcoming July 20 episode entitled “eps2.1_k3rnel-pan1c.ksd” per the synopsis below:

“elliot vows to beat mr. robot but it aint easy, smh. angela sees behind the scenes at evil corp. sh*t hits fan with fsociety.”

It will be interesting to see precisely how this relationship between Elliot and Mr. Robot changes moving forward; Christian Slater has said that he was aware of the big twist at the end of season 1, and was able to play into that more than he would have otherwise. There is a caring, reassuring side to his character that came out then … but how will it be played now? So much about acting and about even us as people is playing into the world around you. While he may be a ghost, Mr. Robot is still a real person within the world of Elliot and can change based on circumstance.
