‘The Voice’ coach Adam Levine reportedly paying for Christina Grimmie’s funeral expenses
We have heard for many years ever since the beginning of “The Voice” that the coaches often do make real, personal connections with some of the artists they work with. Now, we are getting further proof of that courtesy of what Adam Levine has done for the family of Christina Grimmie.
In a post on Facebook, Grimmie’s brother Marcus (who was a hero in tackling the shooter to the ground after he fired at the singer) made it clear that the Maroon 5 frontman had extended a very generous offer to his mother over the phone:
“I found out this morning, that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away. Now a friend just told me to look at the gofundme page and I see it is at 100k. Words cannot express…literally I have no words.”
The fact that Levine did this is indeed phenomenal, but to go along with this, remember that he did it without provocation, or without need to announce it himself. Had Marcus not spoken out about it, nobody probably would have ever known about the singer’s contributions to helping lay Christina to rest. It is a kind, heartfelt thing to do.
Meanwhile, Marcus also made it clear that there is a petition online to have a character in a future “Legend of Zelda” game named after his sister; this was one of her favorite games, and it was something that she talked about with great regularity online.
