MTV’s ‘Scream’ season 2, episode 4 preview: Kieran’s unhappy birthday

Given that within the world of “Scream” almost nothing ever goes according to plan, we’re not quite sure that we would even throw a birthday party if we were Kieran. After all, what does he really think is going to happen? In there some sort of crazy expectation in his mind that everyone is going to be able to celebrate with drinks and a good time? Something of course is going to happen that puts people in danger, and it all could come courtesy of a mystery gift at his party courtesy of Jake.

The synopsis below offers you the tiniest of teases, and this is accented more by the attached promo:

“Brooke is worried by Jake’s disappearance until a gift from him arrives for Kieran’s birthday party; and the Lakewood Six explore their subconscious minds.”

The latter part of this tease may be what is specifically the most unusual part of this, mostly because we have no idea whatsoever the idea of “exploring their subconscious minds” means. Are they giving in to some sort of unspoken wants, questioning each other as subjects, or something else entirely? This is one of those times where there is really not any one theory that is wrong; all of them are possible, and the only thing that we can say for sure is that in one way or another, there’s going to be some terrible stuff going on in and around Lakewood. It would not be “Scream” if this was not the case.
