Is ‘Chicago PD’ season 3 new tonight on NBC?

Last week, “Chicago PD” gave us an episode that could very easily qualify for being one of the most devastating installments of anything that we have seen over the past year. Sure, no major character was killed off, but we saw something that was horrific in its own way as Voight seemingly killed off someone himself: A man responsible for the death of his son Justin. Maybe there are some question marks you can throw in here or there, but we’re taking what the show gave us literally for now.

To make matters worse, the Dick Wolf series is now making us wait all the way until the fall for answers. Last week was in fact that big finale, and there is nothing more to say or report on with the show until we get around into the fall. At that point, we imagine that there could be a time jump, though that’s not confirmed, or some other events that could come to push things in the rear-view mirror. Or, who knows? Maybe the team members will start to push things in the mirror only for something to come up that reminds Voight of precisely what happened.

The fourth season of the show will more than likely start filming later this summer, and rest assured that we’re going to be there with coverage every step of the way! More than likely it will be back this September in a lineup that also includes “Law & Order: SVU” and also “Blindspot,” which is moving to Wednesday nights for the first time.
