‘Sherlock’ season 4 rumor: Is filming heading somewhere else?
Over the course of the past few years, Morocco has become known for being more of a hotbed for TV shows and productions than it has ever been before. “Game of Thrones” has notable filmed there in the past, and the same goes for “Homeland,” which has really filmed in locales all over the world.
Now, could we really see “Sherlock” season 4 head down to the country for an episode? It certainly seems like an unusual location given that the show is typically filmed in the UK, but a local edition of The Huffington Post suggests that production could be coming to Marrakesh at some point this year to shoot some more of the BBC series. The likes of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman have spent much of the production so far in Cardiff, where a variety of the interior scenes have been filmed.
If this is true, it is exciting since it would mean that there are even more great adventures to come in the “Sherlock” world that test Holmes and Watson in ways that we have not seen just yet. The real bummer is of course how long we are having to wait in order to see them all play out. There’s no premiere date yet for the next season, but we really hope that we’ll get some sort of a chance to see it by at least early next year. January has been a great month for the show in the past, so we’d be perfectly happy if that tradition continues moving forward.
