‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 19 video: Alicia prepares Peter

The first of the final four episodes of “The Good Wife” will air starting on Sunday night, and there is a lot of meaty drama that the CBS series is going to need to explore before we get to the end. The state of Alicia and Peter Florrick’s marriage is one of the largest priorities.

In the sneak peek, you basically do get confirmation that, at least for now, she is going to stay at his side. This may be confirmation (at least temporarily) that she is doing one last favor for her husband, and sticking with him through at least the remainder of the trial. When she asked for the divorce, this was his last request, stating that if she was to go through with this, he would not fight her on anything else and she would be given more or less anything that she wants from him in the process.

So in helping Peter prepare, one other thing that she wants to ensure that his reputation is not tarnished by what is done to him in the process. She’s probably also thinking for herself here, to be honest. She wants to also come off as well as she can once she gets through the trial, and prepare for her own future (whatever that may be).

Hopefully by the time we make it to the end of this particular installment, a few more things will start to become clear. We’ll have more on that as we get closer to the next episode airing.
