‘The Originals’ season 3, episode 18 reaction: Show boss on Lucien – Aurora reveal

Originals -If there was one thing that was really keeping Lucien as a character going on “The Originals” through his arc on season 3, it was the adoration that he had for Aurora. His feelings for her were deep, and he had this assumption that the two of them had a chance to be together.

Well, much of that changed at the end of this past episode, when he learned that her feelings were not exactly mutual. As a matter of fact, she just wanted to use him in order to get some proper revenge on Klaus. This changes his behavior, and it helps to understand why things are going to get ugly for Klaus and Aurora in some ways moving forward. It’s why Cami is in grave danger moving into the next new episode airing later this month.

In speaking more about how this Aurora reveal is going to impact “The Originals” moving forward, executive producer Michael Narducci stated the following to TV Guide:

“It does change his motives a bit. He went from being a lovestruck guy that loves the girl and wants to beat up the bully who kept the girl from him for a thousand years. Now, he’s a heartbroken, shattered, romantic. We all know that hell hath no fury like a person that is scorned. He’s going to blame Klaus that Aurora’s love has strayed away from him. He’s going to take out his anger by hurting someone close to Klaus and draw Klaus out into a fight that Lucien knows he can win.”
