‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 7, episode 21 video: Deeks, Kensi, and the case of the missing leftovers

Who says that every case on “NCIS: Los Angeles” these days has to be of the super-serious variety? The latest sneak peek released by CBS for the next new episode airing Monday night makes it clear that Deeks and Kensi have a new case that needs solving … one that involves each other.

Specifically, Deeks is trying to get to the bottom of what happened to his leftovers, which we presume is the sort of mystery that any person wants an answer to if they really enjoy what they had for dinner the night before. However, Kensi issues a quick denial on the subject of whether or not she ate them, and then proceeds to blame his dog. Who is right? She claims he’ll be apologizing to her later, and maybe he will be … but for now, it’s hard to imagine any ending to this story other than one that is going to lead to a little bit of uproarious laughter on our part. Maybe Deeks has a major sleepwalking problem and he ate them himself, or he left the fridge open and the dog ate it, or there is some secret food-robber who snuck in overnight and ate the food themselves?

We know that there are some fans out there who do not enjoy watching these sort of sneak peeks and would prefer something a little more crime-focused. We have two simple responses to that:

1. We are a big fan of the Deeks and Kensi relationship, so we find these sneak peeks enjoyable.

2. It’s not really like CBS to release sneak peeks in advance that are majorly focused on the case of the week other than an introduction, and those tend to blend together over time.
