ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5, episode 16 video: Can Susan Ross, David Rosen patch things up?

On Thursday night’s new episode of “Scandal,” there is going to be quite the struggle ahead for Susan Ross. She realizes that relationships are a sign of stability, and if she wants to be seen as a viable Presidential candidate, she probably has to do just about everything within her power to minimize instability around her.

Unfortunately, she now knows the truth about David’s infidelity, and doesn’t want anything to do with him. The problem here is that Susan finds herself in a situation where it’s impossible to end the relationship publicly without her looking bad. She’s in a crisis, and as the sneak peek below indicates, there’s really nothing that David is going to be willing to do that fixes it.

Is it possible that she finds a way to forgive him, and the two actually become close again? We gotta say that it seems incredibly hard to imagine a way that this happens given what we know right now. Just remember here that there is no reason for Susan to trust him again. Why would she? David’s also shown to have many skeletons in the closet already, so there’s always that risk that she decides to get involved with him once more, and then realizes not too long after that he may have done something else that shatters her heart into pieces.

Given that the title for this episode is “The Miseducation of Susan Ross,” the one thing that we expect for the time being is that we’re going to see a lot of the character, and we’re pretty darn thrilled about it.
