‘Saturday Night Live’: Peter Dinklage to host, Gwen Stefani to perform April 2
Tonight, there is an all-new episode of “Saturday Night Live” on NBC being hosted by none other than pop star / recent “Scream Queens” actress Ariana Grande. Not only that, but she is also serving as the musical guest. The show’s on hiatus next week, so it only seems fitting that there would be some questions already regarding where the series should go from here.
Well, “SNL” is giving us the greatest gift that they possibly could! Peter Dinklage, otherwise known as Tyrion Lannister from “Game of Thrones” (we also love “The Station Agent”), will be hosting the April 2 edition of the show. Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani is going to be the musical guest. How can you not be excited about Peter on the show?
While this may be the hosting debut for Peter, it is not the first time he has appeared on the show. For those of you who are eagle-eyed viewers, you more than likely remember when he guested during a Drunk Uncle bit as Peter Drunklage, which was a good bit of fun. Given that this is a few weeks before the “Game of Thrones” season 6 premiere, it’s fair to speculate that there are probably going to be at least a few sketches / nods to that show at some point.
As for what else you can see over the course of the show, we imagine that there will still be plenty of political sketches. This does not seem to be going away anytime soon, so be prepared for it.
