‘Survivor: Kaoh Rong’ rankings: Can Alecia Holden overtake Kyle Jason, Scot Pollard?

Alecia -

Two episodes into “Survivor: Kaoh Rong,” we never expected that this would be the state of the Brawn tribe. They’ve lost the first two challenges, and with that they’ve lost two people who are reasonably effective in challenges save for a certain mistake with a scuba mask. Luckily, they do still have some other effective players, even if they have someone left in Alecia who is a little bit of a wild card both in terms of the challenges and around camp. We do admire her work ethic, though!

As always, we’re basing these rankings on the following criteria: Strategy, screen time, edit, challenge ability, camp effectiveness, and individual threat level.

4. Alecia Holden (last week: 5) – We’ve been pleasantly surprised by Alecia so far this season, given that she hasn’t given up and really wants to play the game. We also hate that anyone is being treated like she is by Jason. Yet, here’s the issue: We don’t see the top three in this tribe cracking. If there’s another visit to tribal council, she desperately needs an immunity idol to save herself.

3. Cydney Gillon (4) – We know that Cydney is right now with Scot and Jason, but the question we still have is this: Is this an alliance of circumstance, or one meant to last a long time? This could determine her fate in the game, since the two guys are running the show and if she sticks with them, she’s really going to have to bank on people not liking Jason, and not wanting to give Scot the money because he’s made so much in his life.

2. Kyle Jason (1) – Without a doubt Kyle’s the one on this tribe playing the game the hardest in terms of strategy, but his social game has been to date fairly abysmal. We understand making Alecia into an outsider and an obvious target, but who is going to vote for him to win the game if he treats people this way? Had the women’s alliance actually happened, his behavior would have caused him to be sent home over Scot, the sort of contestant who typically is gone early in the game because of his celebrity status.

1. Scot Pollard (2) – We never thought entering the game that Scot would be at the top of any ranking, but he’s in a strong alliance, he’s useful for challenges right now, and Jennifer liked him so much that she didn’t want to hurt him by turning her back on him this past episode. He’s doing a good job building relationships. If he makes it to the merge, who knows? Maybe he can stick around because people will think they can beat him. We don’t really see anyone on this tribe as a serious threat to win, so we don’t mind putting him first.
