‘Survivor: Kaoh Rong’ episode 3 preview: The chicken debate
Wednesday night’s new episode of “Survivor: Kaoh Rong” is a few days around the corner, and there are some things that you know to expect from it … starting with an immunity idol search that you already saw in the previous preview.
In the video below, you can see a little bit of that mad scramble over on the Brawn tribe, while at the same time there’s also some dissension in the ranks on the other tribe. With the Brains, there’s a potential consensus that Liz and Peter are running things, but can Joe and Debbie really do anything about it? The are entertaining characters, but we certainly think that Liz and Peter are more strategic players based on what we’ve seen so far.
As for the Beauty tribe, they’re having a little bit of a classic debate as to whether or not to kill the chickens. We see this happen often, and we have to think that a big part of this stems from the fact that these people are super-hungry out there, and that causes them to think a little bit impulsively. We may not be speaking the truth here, but to us it seems more reasonable to keep the chicken alive, that way you can have the occasional egg and have it be a little more sustainable over the course of 39 days. Getting rid of a food source for a quick-fix a week into the game doesn’t seem right, especially when you’re on a tribe that is continuously winning. If this was the Brawn tribe and you were looking for some sort of additional boost, we’d understand it at least a little more.
Also, we’re a little bit like Tai Trang here in that we have too much of a heart for animals to want to kill the chicken. We instead think it would be rather cool to have it almost as a companion for the full game, and then have someone on the final day release it into the wild. Sure, it’s probably symbolic since someone else could just come and eat it, but it’d make us at least feel good.
