‘Law & Order: SVU’ – ‘Chicago PD’ crossover video: Lindsay, Antonio question Yates
Wednesday night will mark a much-heralded crossover event between “Law & Order: SVU” and “Chicago PD,” and at the center of all of it is a man who has become one of the most horrible villains we’ve come to see on the shows over the past year or two: Greg Yates. Dallas Roberts plays a terrible man who seems to specialize in causing as many people pain as possible.
However, at the same exact time there’s also a reality that some of these characters face: They can use some of his knowledge in investigating some horrible crimes against young women. That is why, in the sneak peek (via TV Guide), you see Lindsay and Antonio paying him a visit behind bars. This is a particularly harrowing visit for Lindsay given what Yates did to Nadia, but she keeps herself in check during what is a very tense interview.
The problem here for the most part is that we’re not altogether sure Lindsay and Antonio get anything out of this interview at all. Instead, Yates makes it clear that he would like to speak with Rollins, and that is not a thought that they are too willing to entertain. She just had her baby, and one of the last things that she needs to be dealing with is this guy.
Unfortunately for both the Chicago PD and the SVU, early teases suggest that Yates may go on the run in this two-part episode, and if that happens, it is definitely dangerous for almost everyone in the cast. Could he end up taking another life?

I really dislike these crossover episodes. I’ve watched SVU since the beginning, but I don’t watch Chicago PD; so to me these crossover episodes are just full of characters I don’t know and have no interest in. I presume they do them to garner new viewers to Chicago PD, but I just end up skipping them altogether.

If you buy SVU on DVD, they usually include these episodes in the DVD set(they did last season) so you can watch the CHICAGO PD episode if and when you ever decide you want to.

Thanks for the tip; I may end up doing that.
