‘Prison Break’ revival: See the first Twitter tease!
Now that Fox’s upcoming revival of “Prison Break” is official, it appears as though the network can really start to promote it … and they certainly did in a smart way Thursday night by using social media and the launch of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” on The CW.
This new teaser does not contain any new footage, but the fact that the show specifically mentions the word “legends” tells you all you need to know about what they were going for. Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell are starring on both shows, which gives them a common throughline. Also, both shows are awesome. Sure, we’ve only seen a single episode of “Legends” so far, but it has proven to be rather great.
Of course, we could also deconstruct the words “never die” in this Twitter tease, as well, given what happened in “After the Break.” (Spoilers ahead for the series!) Miller’s character of Michael died during that episode, and while it appears as though the revival is set before the events of that, there are still plenty of questions regarding what is going to be coming up and how this is going to work.
In terms of the returning cast, other than Miller and Purcell we know that Sarah Wayne Callies and Robert Knepper are at least in potential talks to reprise their roles, and we’ll get a chance to hopefully see more of the continuation of their stories. We’ll have some more news on the revival as it all comes out; stay tuned!
